These suites are located on the first floor and all have a ceiling height of 5 metres featuring the extraordinary craftmenship of the wood panelling and even the bullet holes and shrapnells in the wood have been preserved.

The open-plan Terrace Suite on the top floor of Hotel de Rome has a large, furnished terrace from which to admire views of Bebelplatz and the city beyond.
Our three well-appointed Executive Suites are on the top floor of the hotel. Each has a small terrace or balcony overlooking Französische Strasse or St Hedwig’s Cathedral. Some of these one-bedroom suites also have a dressing room or a guest powder room.
This light-filled suite was once the office of bank manager Eugen Gutmann. It is one of four historical suites at Hotel de Rome, with high ceilings and distinctive features. Parquet floors. Leather-clad doors. Oak and mahogany panelling. Look closely and you’ll even see shrapnel damage from World War II.
One of our historical suites, the Behren Suite has five metre-high ceilings and magnificent views of Bebelplatz. Historical touches include leather-clad doors, parquet flooring and walls covered with the original mahogany veneer. There’s also a dining table in the sitting room.
One of our historical suites, the Historic Banker Suite was formerly a bank conference room. Original oak panelling covers the sitting room walls and ceiling. Old phone booths have been cleverly converted into a wardrobe and bathroom. Discover the bookcase’s hidden door and the secret compartment beside the window in the sitting room, which also has parquet flooring, a large working desk and a dining table.
Historical flourishes, contemporary decoration and sweeping views combine in the Humboldt Suite. The living room’s oak-covered ceiling dates from 1889 — the year the bank was built. Enter the bedroom through leather-clad doors and sleep under the original beams in a king-sized bed. This historic suite also has a dining table and a separate guest powder room.
The light-filled Royal Bebel Suite is designed in the style of a turn-of-the-century Berlin apartment. It has 3.2m-high ceilings, hardwood floors, a video access monitoring system and a 25m-wide balcony overlooking Bebelplatz. The suite opens onto a study area which leads to an enfilade of rooms. The sitting room is decorated with contemporary and antique furniture and a library with over a thousand books; it also has a virtual surround sound system. The bedroom has a king-sized bed and a walk-in wardrobe. The dining room is served by a kitchenette, with a service entrance; there’s also a guest shower room.
