Sea Island enjoys an equidistant location (approximately 80 miles north of Jacksonville, Florida and 80 miles south of Savannah, Georgia) between Jacksonville and Savannah International Airports. The Brunswick Golden Isles Airport is a short, thirty-minute drive from the west. McKinnon Airport is located right on St. Simons Island, and is just minutes away from The Lodge and The Cloister.
Driving directions to The Cloister at Sea Island:
- From Jacksonville:
- Take I-95 North from Jacksonville. Merge RIGHT onto US-17 N/GA-25 N via exit number 29 toward Jekyll Island/St. Simons/Sea Island/Brunswick.
- Drive 9.7 miles and turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto F.J. Torras Causeway.
- Drive 4.4 miles over the causeway and turn LEFT at the first light onto Sea Island Causeway.
- Drive on Sea Island Causeway to the first light.
- Go straight on the Causeway, through the Security Gate.
- Drive over the bridge and take the first left into the main entrance of The Cloister.
- From Savannah:
- Take I-95 South from Savannah.
- Exit I-95 on Exit #38 (North Golden Isles Parkway).
- Turn LEFT onto Golden Isles Parkway (Spur 25 South).
- Drive 4.7 miles and turn RIGHT onto US 17 South.
- Drive 1.6 miles and turn LEFT on the F.J. Torras Causeway.
- Drive 4.4 miles over the causeway and turn LEFT at the first light onto Sea Island Causeway.
- Drive on Sea Island Causeway to the first light.
- Go straight on the Causeway, through the Security Gate.
- Drive over the bridge and take the first left into the main entrance of The Cloister
