Junior Lodge Suite
A light and spacious bedroom features a super king-size bed (can re-configure to twin beds), lounging chairs and a small table. French doors open onto a wooden terrace with outdoor chairs and the river beyond.
Bathrooms are generous and feature a deep, full-size bath, separate shower, twin basins and the luxury of a heated floor. The walk-in dressing room, with safe, offers guests every opportunity to truly make themselves at home in terms of space. A small area with hand basin is perfect for guests to use with a kettle for tea, a Nespresso machine and a small refrigerator well-stocked in anticipation of their needs.
Double Lodge Suite
Two superior suites are linked by connecting doors, one with a super king-size bed (can be re-configured to twin beds), and a lounge area, writing desk and a large walk-through dressing room, with a safe. This in turn connects to a large and luxuriously detailed en suite bathroom – with heated floors, full-size bath, separate shower and twin basins. The second companion suite offers a larger sitting room designed for rest and relaxation, featuring a fireplace, and an intimate dining area. The same style of well-appointed bathroom is also a feature of this suite. A small area with hand basin is perfect for guests to use with a kettle for tea, a Nespresso machine and a small refrigerator well-stocked in anticipation of their needs.
A wooden terrace spans the entire width of the double suite, with outdoor seating facing the river, while the other three sides of the suite are nestled in natural bush and manicured gardens for privacy and seclusion.
Alan Pye Cottage
This stunning two-suite cottage, named after the founder of Huka Lodge, Alan Pye, presents a style of accommodation that reflects the legendary hospitality he became so famous for back in the 1920s. This superb self-contained cottage lies to the south of the main Lodge buildings with its own secure gated entrance.
Both suites share uninterrupted views of the Waikato River and are separated by a large open plan-living/dining room with floor-to-ceiling doors which open onto an outdoor terrace and a heated infinity pool, within the gardens there is a heated spa pool. A modern kitchen is well equipped for self-catering if required and a well-stocked standard bar is provided. The Study complements the offering, it can be the perfect place to watch a movie on the plasma flat screen television or curl up with a favourite magazine.
Four spacious suites offer sophisticated accommodation within this completely self-contained cottage, perfectly placed to take every advantage of the sweeping view of the magnificent Waikato River. Two of these well-appointed suites share a riverside outlook, while the other enjoys a secluded private courtyard, featuring an outdoor fireplace. The Cottage is located 200 metres from the main Huka Lodge buildings, with its own secure gated vehicle entrance and private pedestrian access via the Huka Lodge grounds.
A series of shared spaces designed for comfort and total relaxation, Including the Den a room for watching a movie on the plasma flat screen television or using the workstation set up with a computer, or quiet reading. A well-equipped, modern kitchen and a standard bar are set up for the convenience of guests, with a large open plan living room, with dining area which flows seamlessly onto a large outdoor terrace with a spectacular cantilevered infinity pool. Tucked away within the manicured gardens a very private heated spa pool overlooks the river.
